Top Tips for Weight Loss for Monmouth County
I apologize for not posting for a while. All of the wedding plans and finding a place to live was catching up with me. However, most of that is taken care of now and I am back to share some tips with you all to lose weight and ‘tone up’ for the upcoming Summer months. Some of you who have attended my Tinton Falls boot camps or trained with me will find some of these very familiar, but many of the rest of you around the country may not have heard several of these tips. They are no magic bullet, but they are a major help when combined together and with a solid meal plan and workout.
1. Drink Green Tea. Green Tea is not only an amazing antioxident, but the EGCG in it aids in fat burning. I brew a few gallons a week and throw in some green tea flavored bags to mix up the taste a bit. It’ll will taste great chilled this weekend, especially for all of us who get the heat wave in Monmouth County this weekend.
2. Multivitamins. This should already be a major part of your daily routine; however, you must make sure you aren’t throwing your money in the toilet by buying junk. I like VGF+25 because it is whole food based and helps attack fat by proving the body with the essential vitamins and minerals you need on a daily basis.
3. Fish Oil. Not only is it just great for your health, but fish oil also helps burn fat. Fish Oil
4. Drink Plenty of Water. You should consume about 1/2 your body weight in ounces. Ex. 200 lb. man should drink 100 ounces per day. Most people don’t know that the body has difficulty burning fat without the proper hydration within the body.
5. Limit Alcohol to 1-2 Drinks per Week. When drinking, try and keep it to light beer and diet soda in place of juices.
6. L-Carnatine. This amino acid has been shown to boost metabolism and may possibly help in the fat burning process.
7. Eat 5-6 Small ‘Meals’ Per Day. Nothing new here. Eating throughout the day keeps your metabolism going and insuline levels normal. Not to mention, you are much less likely to binge.
8. Consume a Post Workout Drink. Drinking a protein and carb blend within 20-30 minutes of your workout not only speeds recovery, but also helps build a lean, athletic physique.
